BIOPTRON COMPACT
This Light comes in a convenient carry case and has a 4 cm lens.
It's in-built transformer allows it to be used automatically on 100-230 V 50/60 Hz
Operates at 480 - 3,400 nm wavelength covering the full spectrum.

Has an in-built 2 minute timer, simple on/off switch and a power on indicator.
Powered by a 20 W Halogen bulb with a guaranteed 2000 hours of use.
It weighs only 0.5 kg and can be used in a stand or hand held.
The COMPACT is the only model that can use interchangeable Colour lenses for Colour Therapy programmes.
Has been tested at Auckland Hospital and complies with all requirements for use in Intensive Care facilities
BIOPTRON PRO (New Models below)
Designed for use at home, in hospitals or clinics - the 11 cm lens covers a larger area than the COMPACT. The 50 w halogen provides the same intensity and wave length, operates at 100-240 V and weighs 1.3 kg.
It can be hand held or used with a height adjustable, pivot arm stand on wheeled coasters. Like the COMPACT it can be adjusted to floor or head level. $2790 includes stand.
An ideal light for use on standard livestock (dogs, horses, goats, sheep, cattle etc.) either hand held or in a stall situation.
Has a dial timer with auto shut-off that can be preset up to 8 minutes.
BIOPTRON 2 (B2)
With a 15cm lens, 90 W bulb and weighing 4.3 kg, the B2 is the largest of the Bioptron Lights.
Ideal for professional use in Hospitals, vet, beauty and therapeutic clinics it is designed to cover large areas (full face size) of burns, skin diseases or joint pains.
A choice of stands - Home (wheeled, extending arm, 360 pivot)= $5880 or Hospital (wheeled, full extension arm with drop down feather touch memory)=$8480 This model installed at Middlemore Hospital.
Has LED timer that can be preset up to 95 minutes with auto shut-off.
The Lights are manufactured at BIOPTRON AG in Switzerland which is now part of the ZEPTER Group.
Bioptron has evolved from the original design (Evo-light) by Mata Fenyo in 1981 and has undergone many changes. Scientific, medical and user research is ongoing and there have been many distinguished results using modern Light therapy.

The new PRO comes in two models and features some welcome innovations. Side handles allow for 2 handed ergonomic holding; a pull out rod allows correct positioning from the skin.
The stand model has a longer extension of the pivot arm for better use over a clinic bed. $3390
