The Institute was created out of a need by Bioptron agents for more detailed information on how their therapy worked. Registered in August 2003 it now has close to 100 members.
Its primary functions are: EDUCATION MEMBERSHIP RESEARCH
In 2004 the Institute launched its first education seminar in Auckland, later repeated in Pukekohe, Cambridge and Christchurch. The 3 days covered Light Therapy basics, Colour Therapy (using Bioptron) and a full Practical day.
In 2007 this was followed by a 2 day Advanced Course on Anatomy and the connectivity of body systems and how & where Light Therapy causes changes.
