Ancient cultures attributed emotions, moods and body functions to the 'energy' centres of the body - the mind, voice, heart, nerves, digestion and sexual organs.
These energy bands were accorded colours that seemed to match the energy frequency of each area.
These bands are called 'chakras' and modern technology confirms that the cellular energy in each area appears to match the energy wave of the colour.
It is logical therefore that the same colour on its chakra will increase the energy in the cells. The opposite colour will
subdue an overactive energy area.
